If you get on Google Earth and find your point on the Earth, you will get GPS coordinates and altitude.

The apps sold in the iTunes store are for iPads and iPhones, both of which have GPS chips. And with the GPS data stream Altitude can be calculated. No such love for the PC without a GPS connection however.
