Recommendation For BlueTooth Headset

Are you looking for a headset to use with a cell phone or music?

I haven't tried the headsets yet but I am sure having fun with BLUE TOOTH SPEAKERS in my truck. I listen to several BROADCASTIFY Radio scanner channels at the same time on my cellphone alot and this sounds just like a police scanner...

Go to a local big truck stop and store. Get what the truckers use.

If the use will be mostly for handsfree cell phone, then a simple single sided wired earpiece with microphone in the cord is much cheaper and more reliable (no battery to keep charged).

In most states you will find that it is against the law to wear headsets while driving

While I don't use it while driving (I have blue tooth in vehicle) I've had excellent luck with the blue parrot headsets.

In Calif, it is legal to use a headset with only a single ear piece.

I use a Plantronics Voyager Legend, a blue tooth connected headset with a short boom microphone. Works good and no complaints from the people I talk to.

It does have a poor recharger that is difficult to keep connected while charging. Full talk time on a charged battery is about 7 hours.

Some reports say it is uncomfortable but not for me. In fact, I forget I'm using it.

I've tried two Jawbones but they didn't work as well as the Plantronics and kept falling out of my ear. Guess my ears aren't made for the Jawbones.

Blue Parrot and Blue Tiger are, for my money, the best noise canceling and provide the best voice clarity on the market. Both are tough and will take lot of abuse but they don't last forever.

The only gripe I have with both is their "lifetime" warranty. When one dies and you get a RMA they ship you a rebuilt one, for around $50-60. For the same money you can buy a rebuilt on the retail market or eBay. Both have excellent customer service.

For the casual user I don't think they are worth it unless you want a boom mike.

Another vote for the Blue Parrot.

That's what a lot of the truckers use. Great battery life and sounds great to who ever you're talking with on the other end.
