Reducing bandwidth usage

I'm on a Verizon 5GB monthly plan, haven't gone over yet (in several years of fulltiming) but bumped right up against the limit a few times. I have a network usage utility installed but that only tells me how much my browser is using, not what individual sites are using.

It seems like my usage spikes frequently while I'm on Facebook even though I don't watch any videos there. After some research this morning, it seems like using touch.facebook.com may be a possible solution since that site is optimized for mobile phones.

So, before I get too deep into this, is anyone else using this site on a laptop or PC? Notice any difference in your bandwidth consumption?

I use T-Moblie, 6.5 Gig high speed, then they throttle me.. UNLIMITED low speed.

Please say a Prayer for my 5 year old Granddaughter (Discovered she had Leukemia at 9 months), she has been in remission and tests keep coming back clean.
Please tell her and your family to keep fighting and praying. I had 2 severe bouts of prostate cancer and have been clean for 11 years. This stuff CAN BE BEAT.

Sorry about the off topic folks, but that had to be said.
