RG6 Connectors

I am upgrading my tvs in my MH and replacing some of the connectors on the RG6 cable, I have 2 different types of cable one is grey and one is black. The black cable excepts the new crimp on connectors fine but the grey does not. I am assuming it is RG6 but it is not marked. Are there different types of RG6? seems like the grey has a heaver brad on it (the outer one). Do I need a different connector? Both have foil.

    It sounds like the grey is actually RG59 which is a tiny bit smaller and requires the proper connector. Or, if you are saying the grey is too large then it could be RG6 quad shield which also requires the appropriate connector. As a side note, crimp connectors work OK but you would be much better served by using compression fittings.
