Rogue program sucking up bandwidth?

My data usage seems to be "over the top." Is there an application that can catch a program that is using a lot of this usage? Just increased my Verizon usage to 7GB and I'm almost at this limit with 14 days to go to the end of this period. The iPhone with 4G is great but I'm thinking there is a rogue program is sucking up a ton of bandwidth. Thanks.
  • The only way to do any task or bandwidth management on the iPhone is to jailbreak it and use a utility like FireWallIP to block a process from accessing the Net unless it is on Wi-Fi. Android, this is a lot easier.

    -Correction-

In iOS 7, you can go into settings and turn off cellular access per app without needing to jailbreak.
  • Ummmmm-maybe it's hooking up with a laptop that's got some cloud program running? Or maybe photos are being backed up over and over???

What makes you think he's not using an Iphone?:h

Sorry, guys. It is an iPhone 5S.
  • Thanks, guys for your input. Turned off stocks and few others access. We'll see how much that helps.
  • If you ever log onto Facebook it will continue to run in the background until you shut off the device and this can consume a lot of data.

When I was with Verizonwireless there were many people complaining that their usage as shown by Verizon was far greater than it should have been and they were paying hundreds of dollars each month in additional fees. No such problems with Millenicom customers using the Verizon network but having the billing done by Millenicom.
