We have been fulltiming for 4 years now and have a satellite dish and dish on the go. We can't get our local football games when we travel and miss them. We don't want to switch to Direct Tv and pay through the nose for a bunch of channels we don't need just to get the NFL ticket. Our sons suggested we go with unlimited data with our current phone provider - Verizon and Roku with Sling? Anyone else do this? I'm worried that even with unlimited data the speed will slow down once we reach a certain level and we won't be able to stream?
Verizon's unlimited data plan is limited to 22GB of 4G service and then it is subject to network optimization (slow down) if the tower you are connecting to is busy (a frequent occurrence but not a guaranteed slow down).
Watching 1 days worth of football in HD is likely going to eat up much of that 22GB. If you are an AT&T customer and a DirecTV customer you can stream all the DirecTV programming you like without biting into your there Unlimited (22GB limit) plan.
