rotating attached pictures in Yahoo Mail

Someone sent my Yahoo Mail an attached scan today (newspaper obit) from their I-Phone. I had to stand my laptop on its end to read it! I've also received 'sideways' pictures also. I've tried to find a solution on Yahoo Mail but so far no luck. Help! Thanks. Jim

  • Thanks, 1492 and Mr. Wizard. I dragged one attachment at a time to my Desktop, rotated it and Voila!! When I tried to drag them one by one, it wouldn't accept the second one so had to read each attachment and then delete each before I dragged another one over. I didn't realize that I could drag them like that. Jim
  • while your web email is open download / save the pictures to your laptop
then you can view them and rotate them with windows picture viewer
or any photo program like Irfanview or Gimp etc..

Note that you can just drag-and-drop photos directly from Yahoo Mail to your computer desktop.
  • Transfer or save the file to your desktop. If it's an image format, Windows Photo Viewer has rotation buttons at the bottom controls. PDF viewers can also rotate the file.
