Not really sure what you mean by "What about the cable?"
The cable splits somewhere - one side goes to your TV (cable box probably) and the other side goes to your internet modem. Whether your modem provides wifi or not has nothing to do with cable TV.
I turn off the wifi on my modem and move my wifi router from the house to the RV when I'm travelling. That way, all my devices connect to exactly the same router wherever we are.
