I'm with Bill on this. Was thinking about it yesterday when I had Maps and my Nuvi 2689 on. I kept ignoring the Nuvi because it insisted I go a way that I didn't want to. Maps on my Galaxy S7 is pretty big but I can use the tablet if I want.
I like back roads but Garmin insists that I take I85. Yes I can say avoid highways but then it routes ridiculous paths just to avoid even 1 mile on an Interstate. Maps will do that too but "gives up" quicker if I insist I'm going back roads.
I'm a gadget guy and well versed in GPS systems. Noting is as good as Streets and Trips was but plain old Maps fills the bill for me. Of course, this is just my opinion...every one has one.
