RV GPS..New Garmin delayed. Any recommendations?

We are planning a 6 wk + trip next month. I have been waiting for the new Garmin 770 RV gps, but the release has been delayed. I hate to wait until the last minute to buy something in case it become...

One of the nice things about a GPS is that when you pay for it you're done paying. You don't need a data plan, cell coverage, or any of the things that cost you with a smart phone.

Yeah, there are lots of uses for a smart phone, but none that I find I want to pay for. :) All my grown kids have smart phones, and I've watched to see that most of them use them mainly for social media. Not necessary, but since they already have to pay for them, might as well use them for something.
