RV GPS..New Garmin delayed. Any recommendations?

We are planning a 6 wk + trip next month. I have been waiting for the new Garmin 770 RV gps, but the release has been delayed. I hate to wait until the last minute to buy something in case it become...

We just got back from our 6 + wk traveling west to east coast and back. 9117 miles.

GPs worked ok, but led us on what I call "wild goose chases' about 11 times.

Always bring your maps and check routes before starting your engine....
