I am more then pleased with the Otterbox Defender case for the smartphones I have. They do a GREAT job of protecting my phone from drops and falling on it etc and also from scratches on the screen.
If you decide to buy a wireless charging receiver (I just bought one for my S3 for $4.99 on Ebay) for your S4 it will also allow the phone to charge while still in the case.
