Gee I had no idea my options would get even more complicated. I was unaware Straight Talk even could be connected to the Verizon network. I am currently a Verizon subscriber and have been since 2006 with no complaints on coverage or service. But DW wants a "smartphone" now. I am already retired and she will be after Jan. 1st. so I am trying to watch the costs of upgrading. Were it not for the Wi-Fi hot spot in the phone I probably wouldn't even want one. Which brings up the question- Does the hotspot allow decent data transfer and internet usage where there is phone coverage? Not going to be downloading music or videos, just checking emails or websites for attractions or places of interest while travelling.
