The best and easiest way to fix this issue is to dump Sprint. I have been standing in the middle of an area on their coverage map that says they have 4G LTE and had the calls to them drop every 1.5 minutes.
unless you are using a VOIP app..
voice calls are not 4gLTE.. that is a data connection, and not related to voice
i know verizon is moving toward VOIP, so they can get more voice channels on the same carrier wave/tower.. not sure when it will be implemented
but right now with most carriers, to use their 4g for voice , you have to run a VOIP app like skype or something similar
a strong LTE signal does not mean you can make a voice call, it means you have an internet connection
