@ Bull Rider - That is what I want to do. We record a lot shows at home that go unwatched so just bringing along the receiver is what I want to do. What size portable hard drive do you use for your recordings. I assumed that the sat receivers had their own hard drive which stored the shows recorded and you wouldn't need a portable HD. I do not have any interest in watching live TV and do not want to bring a portable dish with us. I want to keep it as simple as possible.
