couple of questions. Can I use a Dish netork dish with a directv receiver? Can I use the parts from my idle dish network dish on my Wingard Sat on the RV? The LNB and the dish itself? Thanks

The Winegard crank-up you have will work fine with your DirecTV receiver. However, you will have to change some settings in the receiver and you will also have to verify that you are not trying to use the new DirecTV H25 or HR34 receivers. These can be made to work but do not work by default.
No matter what receiver you have you will want to go into the receiver setup menu and set it up as an 18" round dish, multiswitch and single or dual tuner if that is an option. Now, proceed to signal meter and then signal strength. Be sure it shows satellite 101 and transponder 1 and search until you find the satellite. It's very hard the first time but gets easier with practice.
