satellite tv

Around where I live they have tons of direct tv dishes that are not being used I'm thinking of getting dish network pay as you go package and need to find satellite dish and reciever I know from what I have read that the feed horns or Lnbs on this direct tv dish won't work on the dish network reciever but what if I change the lnbs to dish network ones would they work on the direct tv dish I know the lnbs or different but are the dish them selves diferrent or close to being the same if I can make that work I will build a stand for the dish and buy the receiver that is compatible with the lnbs

    search eBay for "Dish 18 round". basic small dish which can work on both directv and dish network. only problem is you will only lock on to one satellite and the channels you get will be SD only

    I also like the winegard PM-2000. neat little dish on its own small stand that can fold away

    Yep, keeping it simple, basic programming only, the old 18" round dish will work on dish or direct,........or it did a few yrs ago anyway.
