Well the connector on the weber is a standard connector. They of course want you to order their hose. That is more income and bottom line for them.
If I had tightened the hose connection any more than I did I would have broken the connection or stripped the threads. This was not the issue.
When I connected the hose to my big Propane tank turned it on then used a wooden match to depress the valve stem in the hose nothing came out. Gas should have exited at that moment. This simple test told me it was indeed the hose.
I am no fan of my Weber Q as a grill mind you. But this is definitely not webers problem.
IF Weber has any problem it is that for the exalted price of the Weber q2000 it definitely should INCLUDE the hose.
