All I can say is wow, just wow, all what IS in these privacy policy's. I went to sign up for Visa Checkout. My bank claims this is done under layers and layers of protection when purchasing on line...

Maybe you could mention the name of that particular "service" provider so everyone could avoid your particular misstep. No need to be nasty, but a heads-up about the down side could be helpful.
Citi Card has the one-time use card numbers. I've never availed myself of the service but it is a consideration for those who feel particularly nervous about online purchasing. Probably more to make you feel secure than actually doing anything about it. My understanding is that more numbers are stolen en masse than pilfered one at a time through stealing at point of purchase transactions.
