Security Cameras.. just asking

I have 2 security cameras pointed at nearly the same area. One points from the far side of my porch across my front door area, the other from the other side of the porch at the driveway. They both look at the driveway, just one from farther away. They do not interfere as far as the IR illumination. It is really just a low light intensifier. The only thing that interferes with the motion detection is the cob webs as mentioned by Rover_Bill. I also have 2 true Infrared cameras with 3 more to mount. These are way better than the ones with IR lights as the can not be seen at night. The red lights light up and an intruder can see you have them and where they are. The other ones have no lights, can see much further and see everything from a person to a mouse. Although more expensive...

When enabled, the IR-LED's are illuminated 100% of the time to be able to detect motion. If one camera "sees" the other camera, it will see it as a VERY bright spot but motion detection will still work in both cameras. In my case, I turned the IR's off and installed a motion sensor spot light because spiders were using the cameras to support their webs and tripping the motion detection at night when they crawled on their webs. The spot light sensor is not sensitive enough to detect spiders.

I doubt it (if by IR you mean they use IR-LED"s to illuminate the field) UNLESS they are pointed directly at each other like this }-----{ But if they are both pointed DOWN at the same area \ / Style Should not be a problem.

I've only used one IR camera but from my knowledge of how they work you should have not trouble.

I Have used low-light remote controlled cameras and so long as you do not point them at the light source. (Then it washes it out) no problem. We had about 160 of those when I was working ... Likely more now, You can even watch them mich.gov/mdot and figure out where they hid the Detroit Camera Collection :)
