- Taxman2004ExplorerMy 2014 Itasca Solie doesn't have a ladder so I can't use the ladder option. Isn't there a problem with the Tailgater blowing off the roof or the slide top on a windy day? Thanks for all the ideas.
- RoyBExplorer III secured our SAT DISH setup to the fold-a-cover hard folding panel covers on my truck bed. This made us put the SAT DISH away when we left the camp ground...
Never left unattended...
Roy Ken - BB_TXNomadI really did not see it as something likely to walk off. But just to avoid any hassle I did buy a plastic coated steel dog tie out cable at Home Depot and two small padlocks. I wrap one end of the cable around a tree, stabilizer, or what ever else may be close that is at least semi-unmoveable.
- amandasgrammaExplorerWe use the same cable RV2go uses. DH started putting it on one of the slides because that got it out of the way.........that was until that one infamous day he hadn't had time to move the ladder out of the way and I started the slides in......and well, you know the rest of the story. Let me put it this way --- DH has the patience of a saint and can fix anything....including half crushed ladders :B :B
- Dadio24ExplorerStay in more secure places and meet your neighbors. If you are not sure about the people in and around your camp, don’t use the dish. They make a bracket that mount directly to the MH ladder which makes it harder to walk off...
Kings Control MB400 Ladder Mount Bracket by KINGS CONTROL - Community AlumniI tethered mine to the RV using a 3/8" security cable. There were a few instances I didn't feel comfortable having the antenna on the ground and placed it on the RV roof.
- rv2goExplorer III use this. About $18 at walmart. I cut the snap hooks off and use locks.
