Selling on Ebay question?

Does anyone know if you can list a vehicle on Ebay but sell it with the terms cash only? I just want to sell it locally but want to use the coverage Ebay has. Don't want to mess with paypal etc.

If so how do list it? I can't seem to get past the paypal and bidding instructions requests. Thanks

E-bay tries to be as much about protecting the buyer as the seller- electronic payment systems like Paypal help with both.
I disagree. Ebay is about 1 thing and 1 thing ONLY. Collecting maximum sales commissions.

Yes, this is true- and one of the ways they try to keep doing that is by insuring that the folks that are actually SPENDING THE MONEY will return since their interests are at least as "protected" as those who are selling things.
  • I sold my harley on ebay local classified ads.covers a wide range of your area. Its free and can add like 24 pictures. Never paid ebay a thing.I asked for cash only.

Craigslist is good.Alot of spam lately.Say only respond back with phone #
    Rvt.com seems good to

For local sales, I'd just use Craigslist.

Yeah, then set around and wait and push back your dinner time for the no shows. Had held back dinner for the last guy to show up and he showed up at the house 45 minutes late eating McDonalds the they had stopped for. Then after 30 minutes of looking over my item left without buying. That was enough Craig's list for me.
  • I purchased a vehicle on Ebay.
I made a deposit ($500-$1000) on the vehicle with paypal, and the remainder with a Cashier's check. The deal went smoothly.

I have also bought & sold vehicles using a local equivalent of Craigslist with much success. I ask a higher price, knowing they will try and talk me down to what I expect to get. I also don't wait around - if they don't show up when they said they would be here and I have places to go - too bad, I'm gone. Yes you have to put up with the tire kickers, but that's just part of the game.
