Send/Receiving Fax Using Cell Phone.. Can I?

We just moved and don't want to get a land line (we have excellent cell coverage)

We need to buy a new printer/scanner/fax/etc....... Is it possible to use my cell phone line to send a fax???

I know there a fax services out there but I am not comfortable using them on some of the Fax's I need to send once in a while...

Thanks

    Thanks again
  • No, you will not be able to create a workable outgoing fax connection with your cell phone. There might be some additional hardware out there that would do some kind of a translation but I am not aware of them.
I use E-Fax for incoming faxes (up to 20 per month) for free. The outgoing side is tricky and most services require you sign up for monthly service or some number of pre-paid outgoing pages.
In nearly every case where a fax was requested, we were able to send an e-mail attachment instead. When it all goes bad I check with the campground to see if they can send or take it to any number of office stores and grocery stores that will send them for a small fee.
