Shaw Direct 600 receiver

Question

We haven't used our motorhome since last winter but just had the chance to go on a trip this last week so grabbed a Shaw Direct 600 receiver from the house and left. Our self aiming dish found Shaw OK but we found it necesary to reset the receiver each time we turned TV on.  By reset I mean remove the power cord for 10 secs or so. The only thing different is the Shaw Direct upgrade that recently happened.  Has Anyone else experienced this and is there a fix?

Nope.....I use an older non HD box for camping with a manual aimed dish on a tripod....no problems.

I have 2 HD boxes at home, only one (the newer one) got the upgrade.....The older one stayed the same

If you have the newer 3 LNB antenna at home and you are now using the older 2 LNB antenna you may have to have the receiver remapped (no, I don't know what that means) to function properly with the different antenna type.  You have to call Shaw to get this done.

That makes sense.  I'll give  Shaw a call and try the re-mapping.  I have heard about that before.  Stay tuned

600 Series HD receivers and Pvr's. Have frequent firmware upgrades compared to previous models.New LNBF dish receivers will give out more HD channels as they make use of the new  ANIK G1 Satellite.
