I've had a couple Sirius radios and have never had that problem. Right now I have a Starmate 8 and it can be on from 7 am til 10 pm with no problem. My older radio was often on as long and never shut off. Sounds like you need to contact Sirius. Is this a new radio still under warranty? Sounds like a defect.
