Slimline aiming - V's in the trees

Back when I was playing with SAT TV I did the same thing. Had a favorite spot way back in the woods and lots of tree cover... I climbed up into the tree and cut out a rather large hole there and hit the right spot. Then on the ground I marked where my truck would always be parked to use my portable dish setup on the hard bed cover I was using to set the SAT Dish on... My markers was a pile of rock I found around the camp site...
Worked out great for us haha. I went to that particular spot in the woods to camp which was creekside on a small creek. Love waking up in the mornings to a nice bon fire and watching the fish jump drinking my morning fresh ground and brewed bean coffee...
Haven't been to this spot for a couple of years now and I wonder if my markers are still there haha... They probably are now being used for a fire pit for another camper that has found my camp site... They probably have never looked up and wondered why there is a somewhat large hole in the tree cover...
