"Defragging an SSD won't harm it, it's just that it's a complete waste of time."
I agree you are right mostly but and that is a big but, defragging reduces the life of an SSD. SSD's have a finite number of writes. Defragging cuts into that number. And of course it is a complete waist of time.
How many writes do you get? Ask the mfg.
