Speaker buzz

Hello,
Have a 2013 Bigfoot and one of two outside speakers is "buzzing" for lack of a better word. Of the 4 speakers only one is doing this. Before I remove and replace it does the board have any thoughts? almost sounds like static but only the one of 4. Also what type of caulking should I use around the outside speaker? Thank you.

  • Unless you have surround sound, you have a standard stereo. So if yours is a stereo, the speaker is bad. To be sure, swap the speaker with another one.

You do not have a converter or ground loop problem.
  • My 05 Bigfoot did the same.To trouble shoot it make sure your converter is not powered.Mine was a bad filter and the buzzing ceased with the converter off.Otherwise it's a bad speaker.
  • If you know the speaker is not torn or damaged Google "ground loop".
