Rick I do not understand a few things.Are you connecting to the rear connection to get CABLE Do you have an antenna?If you have an antenna there should be somewhere to switch from OTA to cable.

find your tv wall plate with the on off antenna switch turn it on for antenna or off for cable then do a channel search from the tv menu screen and be sure to set it to scan cable channels for cable or air channels for over the air channels. that has to be done at each new location you go to. and on each tv. here is the manual for the switch you are looking for should be behind the main tv. tv wall plate says they include cable hookup on these sportsman

You cannot use a cable input connection to connect a satellite TV input.The dedicated cable you are using is your best option but some coaches can have the cable input modified to be used with satellite TV. If you can find any route where a new coax can be run from outside the coach directly to where the satellite TV receiver is located, this is your best option.By the way, the manufacturer did not drop the ball. You are trying to connect a satellite TV connection to a connection designed for Cable TV only.

The on off switch for antenna I'm not aware of
