Substitute For Jitterbug

I currently have a Jitterbug Flip Phone by Alcatel. It is the second one I have had and they were both junk! They only ring some of the time, the dial tone only works occasionally, just unsatisfactory. I am trying to find another low cost plan for talk, that uses the verizon network. Any suggestions?

    Or total wireless, also from Walmart. $35 a month with 5gigs of data, Verizon towers.
    Chack their website for some cheap phones.

    We use Straightalk from Walmart and have for years. It's $45/month, which is probably more than you want to pay. It is for 10g of data, unlimited talk and text. You can purchase whatever phone you want through them or online. We have travelled all over the east coast and have only had a couple of times that service was not good (if others have service).

    That's my suggestion.
