i would say the woofer has plenty of space for air movement and crisp sound
but it will suffer volume loss inside the closed dinette seat box
yes you can put an opening in the dinette box to allow more volume
remember to vacuum the dust out of the dinette box every few months
once you open the box and install a grill dust will settle inside the dinette box
