T-Mobile changes to one plan

T-mobile changed their plan again. All the fees are in the plan's documentation and not added on.

My first cellular provider was T-Mo, I switched to AT&T for the iPhone back when they were the only carrier with it, then to Consumer Cellular, and now back to T-Mo.

What I'm paying isn't too bad. 3G tethering is not bad for what I do, and 28 gigs is good enough as well. It probably sucks the least out there.

I do not have the add on. 3g is fast enough for me. It is throttled after 28 gigs.

That's correct if you pay for the One Plus International - which includes unlimited high-speed tethering. Even at 28 gigs, they claim you are only throttled when connected via congested towers.

We are on their older Simple Choice Unlimited which was a better value. We also have a hotspot device that gives us 22GB at high-speed, then low speed after that.

The key with T-Mobile is if you are going to watch videos with it, run the app on the phone and use something like screen mirroring with a Roku to put it on your TV. Data on the phone itself is unlimited high-speed. If you turn off the "binge-on" feature, the video will be higher quality. On their new plans, you have to select high-quality video by logging into your account every day.

I had a talk with T-Mobile over another matter and found out that hotspot and tethering are hi speed until you reach 28 gigs. After that they throttle the connection for the remained of the billing period. I think the device remains at the high speed, and only the tether is throttled.

After being with Verizon for 10+ years I switched to T-Mobile. Very happy with T-Mobil. My bill dropped nearly in half. I have unlimited data, voice, text and 15k hotspot on each line. Yes there are holes in service. For me to save nearly $100 on four lines, it was worth the occasional inconvenience. T-Mobil is constantly expanding their service area.

Our Maximum Signal Max Amp RV cell service booster/repeater has kept us connected to Verizon and AT&T, usually at 4G/LTE speeds, nearly everywhere we've been on the east coast, including areas where our previous WeBoost Drive 4G-M gave us poor or no signals. When we tried using a T-Mobile hotspot for awhile, we kept running into dead areas where even the Max Amp couldn't sniff out enough of a signal to work with. We dropped Sprint long ago...

Now that right there is downright funny! I have a Sprint HotSpot that works in so few areas that I simply never use it.

I switched to Total wireless using Verizon towers. 2 lines, 8 g data, unlimited talk and text for $60 bucks a month. Very happy with it.

Did I see right that the hotspot speed is limited to 3G?

I've been on the road since the first. I had great TMO coverage in the rest stop south of Raton, NM. ABQ,NM in the city and out side of San Antonio, NM I had to switch it to 4G but it's doing better than Cricket.

I haven't used the booster yet because at each layover one of the unlimited devices was at full signal. Raton it was 4gas/T-Mobile. ABQ it was 4Gcommunity/Sprint and in San Antonio the Verison 3G has a full signal and streams as fast as you could want.

I believe they throttle after 5 gigs.
