I too have been a Sprint customer for a very long time. Here in the inland northwest it's been great, but it has let me down in out of the way places like around the Salton Sea. I was looking forward to T-Mobile, but am leery. There are some known dead spots around my neck of the woods in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area.
