Verizon has a new deal going as well since July 2016...
I guess us grandfathered guys will get another fine increase in cost for not switching over.. I am being 'fined' a total of $100 a month now for having two cell phones using grandfathered unlimited data and email on my plan...
My 3G MIFI grandfathered Account is still at $35 for 3GB of data per month...
Will be making some changes soon I guess since my RV camping is becoming on the decline due to my old age I guess... Also staying closer to home with my RV OFF-ROAD camping...
I could probably get away with one of those WALMART deals pay as you go things on the Verizon Network and go back to the standard GIBBS flip lid cell phones. I will miss my Internet BROADCASTIFY Radio Scanner Operations big time however from my cell phone... Would still have that at home from my regular Internet provider being METROCAST. Can't afford the high dollar digital radio scanners - cheapest one is around $500... All of my older scanners don't work anymore since the whole Radio World community changed over to digital radio everywhere... Ham radio is probably next to change over...
We are in a small depression behind some high hills where we live and only VERIZON works here at the house. The kids have to pull a GREEN ACRES here and climb a telephone pole to use their cell phones on the other networks...
My VERIZON cell phone bill is now $290 a month for two phones with unlimited data and text and one GIBBS flip-lid phone with 800 minutes long distance. I also have my 3G Mifi Account for 3GB per month included... Kinda getting out of hand now... It was a $190 a month a couple of years ago until VERIZON started their 'fine' for not upgrading haha...
I never considered changing because the other networks would not usually work where I go. Now Verizon is just now changing their plans around like the other networks are doing.
Might be time to make some changes here... I still have my older GIBBS Motorola flip-phones here in a drawer somewhere so get a couple of new batteries and start over again hehe...
After three or four months maybe I couple buy one of those high dollar Radio scanners hehe...
