Anyhow, I think maybe you are searching for a device that uses 3G instead on WiFi for it's connection as opposed to searching for something that does not connect to the internet. And then the question is whether you specifically need SMS text messages or can use an app on a phone.

I am searching for something exactly like what I have now. I am a little aggravated that the device lasted less than a year with no warranty, and that the new one is twice the price I paid.
I don't know exactly how it works, only that I don't need Wifi and I get text alerts and I can also send texts to confirm temperature inside the RV.
Is there any other better terminology I should use when searching? Do you have anything ready for sale yet?
