Had a friend in CA who routinely did 500 text a day. Watched him do texting while he worked as a cashier and most folks never realized he was texting while doing his job and I never saw him make a mistake at the cash register. Some folks are amazing at multi tasking.
We went to texting too, because our 3 girls will answer a text but totally ignore a ringing phone. Text gets an answer in minutes, where a phone call may not be returned for days.
