I teach "digital citizenship" to our incoming 6th grade students every year. I always check the latest statistics before I teach the class. The 2014 data from the Journal of Medical Internet Research, the average adolescent female (ages 14-17) sends 4050 texts per month. That's a lot of LOL's!
