I've never been a big fan of texting but I have gotten to the point where I use about 100 texts per month. Mostly to communicate with my kids as they prefer receiving texts rather than phone calls.One of my daughters regularly averages 9,000 texts per month which is about 300 per day. She texts all the time with her friends instead of calling them on the phone.How many texts do you send per month? Anybody beat 9,000?

I can do a few hundred pretty easy. I have unlimited so I don't know the actual count. The GF and I rarely talk on the phone. We trade pics and smilies so it's fun. Let the text bashing begin.

The world has become so un personal.... nobody picks up a phone anymore.. its either an email or a text.... My kids also only respond to texts.... They think I don't actually know where they are...

Had a friend in CA who routinely did 500 text a day. Watched him do texting while he worked as a cashier and most folks never realized he was texting while doing his job and I never saw him make a mistake at the cash register. Some folks are amazing at multi tasking.We went to texting too, because our 3 girls will answer a text but totally ignore a ringing phone. Text gets an answer in minutes, where a phone call may not be returned for days.

Couple hundred. Maybe double that when I am working in the summer.

Hundreds, not thousands, for me.

Assuming she is awake 16 hours a day and sleeps 8 hours a day, this equates to one text every 3 minutes for 16 hours straight.

That is unbelievable and borders on addiction!

I'm sure the count is high because she sends texts to groups so her sending 1 text could go to 6 people and be counted as 6 texts.
