I heard about the dispute with Direct, figure Dish will follow if Direct wins out. I can't blame Direct for dumping TWC as they did. I found their information near worthless, the stories annoying and I can't see why any cable company or satellite would actually pay them.
In the day and age where most (61%) homes have smart phone TWC on the TV is really unnecessary, hence why the storm stories and reality TV - their viewership sucks and they know without it the providers will do exactly what Direct did.
As for good weather apps, I haven't seen anyone recommend Intellicast its a good website and great iphone app.
