The National Weather Service provides all the information you need without the hype.
And in a study done long ago (And I suspect repeated several times) they are the most accurate,, Not counting one that predicts in "Oracle" mode. (The predictions are vague enough that whatever happens will fit the prediction)
There are 3 apps I have on my cell phone from NOAA
M-Ping, this is a weather REPORTING app. if you have severe weather (Heavy Rain/Snow, Hail, High wind, Tornado) you can report it by simply touching a few buttons (icon type) on the smart phone.
NOAA WEATHER FREE, This is anything but free, however there is no cost to download, install and use save what you pay every APRIL to the federal Government (Taxes)
RADAR EXPRESS.. Same thing but a radar app.
On my computer I have Accuweather (ForcastFox) and I visit the conus radar web page (NOAA) at: National Radar Picture NOAA
I tend to do my own predictions based on the weather.. Though that only covers rain/snow, not temps or wind.
