To the users that worry about deleting programs that are necessary. For the most part you do not get into that with just simple uninstalling. I just relooked at control panel, program and features and it was very clear what shouldn't be touched. Anything from Microsoft. Anything from the hardware vendor. In my case that is Toshiba and Intel and Realtek and synaptic.
Almost everything else can be uninstalled without affecting the OS.
It is of course possible to uninstall something that has an affect on a program YOU want to run, but usually you just need to reinstall it and since it is something you want, you should have the disk or the downloaded software somewhere.
There isn't any reason to start messing with processes etc as you aren't a hard core computer geeks.
Before you start deleting things, a restore point should be done. Once you have created a restore point, and uninstalled things, keep your system the same way for a few days and run every program you need.
If you aren't confident to do any of these things, then the best answer is to buy the fastest processor and the most memory you can afford. That is a simple solution.
