That works but when you have programs running windowed or full-screen, your folder and desktop icons may be covered up so you may need to minimize, resize or move your programs in order to gain access to your desktop icons and folder. The desktop toolbar I posted about will popup OVER any running programs so makes it very easy to access the icons and folders on your desktop.
