Wintersun: You are really really misinforming everyone regarding OS.
First of all, Windows OS DO NOT require updates weekly and never have, they are monthly and once in a while a special update.
Apple updates at least quarterly and do not tell you about security issues that are open in some cases for many months. ie see their last two updates.
Anti virus programs are free even if they sell a different version unless you are a business.
I don't know what utilities you pay for, but I bet there are free versions available to non businesses.
And as an Ipad owner I can tell you there are many many problems with that OS that are not recognized or fixed by Apple.
As an IT pro, you sure are not up on the marketplace.
