I went from an S6 to an S9+ and paid that $929. Decided to pay up front, it was marginally cheaper than paying X dollars per month for the phone. Also, the s9+ has a larger screen and my eyes are not the best.

I wanted to keep the S6 but Tmobile couldn't move it over with the 55+ plan we wanted.

Frankly the older flip phones would be my go to - larger batteries typically paired with a larger transmitter. Not many companies make those if at all.

But properly outfitted the S9+ will last me 2 days if in mid power saving mode. Nothing like the week my flip phone from years ago would last, but considering all the electronics in it... not bad.

The camera on this one is outstanding and I enjoy taking pictures so I forced myself to buy it. All about your priorities. I'm sure mine will change later.
