MS Streets & Trips on a laptop took me down a dead end street one time.
Older Garmin wanted me to take a 4 wheel drive road into the back side of Great Sand Dunes NP. Fortunately I knew better.
Traveling from Dallas to Fredericksburg, TX newer Garmin wants to take me via routes I know are not best and simply ignore it.
I mostly only use a GPS when I am very near a final destination and not sure exactly where an address is. Or when traveling I use it for miles to destination and expected arrival time. I always become familiar with my anticipated route via Google before heading out.
