tomtom updates

I have a VIA 1530 unit and it is not updating. It is connected to the PC and leave it on for hours and it keeps stopping or saying some problem. I am on "MyTomTom" account correctly. Have updated before and it took forever. Now, three days and no go. It seems it always has 400 minutes to go! The unit says "no maps found" after hours of supposedly updating. Thanks,

  • Trying it again. My tomtom page states I have the map on my device. Maybe, need to take the device outside to get valid satelite??? Anyway while the site says I have it but not the GPS/fix the unit acts like it is updating with 300 or so minutes left! Why would I need more storage if just updating my map? I have updated one time before without any problems or so I think. Thanks for the help! I will try your suggestions if this one fails. Also, turned off the "sleep" mode timer for the PC just in case that was a problem. I am using my laptop for this forum and not disturbing the pc.
  • Also, you do have sufficient room on your TomTom for the update, right?

They take a micro USB card. I just bought a 32GB version at Amazon foe $19.95

  • Try resetting the unit. Hold the "on" button down for 8 seconds (you'll hear the drums on the splash screen then"

Also, if you're using MyTomTom "software" (the website interface" right click the icon in the system tray and go to settings and "clear the cache" and reboot your computer and do this step again.

    This might help
