too loud.....

Team...

O.E.M. surround sound too loud even at lowest setting. 3 "regions"...
living room, bedroom, outdoors. I have actually turned on bedroom and
listened comfortably from living room at lowest setting. Outdoors speakers
may bother neighbors even at lowest setting.

Review of lit. provided with 5ver without resolution.

Anybody else have/had this issue ?

Thanks

Charles
  • ...forgot to add... running sound bar thru aux port allows for comfortable listening (using remote for sound bar to adjust volume) but gives up "surround sound".

    any other options ?

  • Sound bar would have been my suggestion, the one I have onboard has surround sound option which I utilize for movies and some sporting events. We have the same 3 zones for speakers in our rig and can set volume to whisper level if needed, I didn't think other systems would be any different. We use sound bar as it provides improved sound quality for when watching TV in living room.
  • The only problem we have with the OEM surround is the subwoofer level defaults back to full blast every time we unplug the shore poower. It doesnt bother me butthe wife throws a fit.
  • yep... already spent too much time trying to access a reset / control
on the o.e.m. unit. looks like the sound bar option (mine JBL, also has
the surround option as well as faux sub-woofer) it is until I stumble upon
an alternative. It is a shame as NW put speakers all over the rig.

    Thanks
