TracVision S3 upgrade to HD

Thank you for the informative answer, backed with actual technical data, Mr. Satellite. Guess I'll have to stick with low def. I'd have been pretty upset had I purchased the upgrade referred to in the press release at the time and then it became obsolete quickly. Although I suppose everyone with DirecTV HD equipment then had this problem, so perhaps DTV paid to switch people over? Anyhow, thanks again.
