Tranfer photos & files from one computer to another

Put photos on a PAID hosted site, like ImageEvent.

I would put them all up to Microsoft's free skydrive (or Amazons) and then download them to new computer. This would leave a copy in the cloud. Connect both to the same network and then use the windows easy transfer program.
It will put your mail, address book, pictures and documents (mostly) in the right place. It isn't perfect but it is easy and does a fairly good job.

Buy yourself a stand alone hard drive and put them all on that. Keeping anything important on a computer used every day is really fool hardy. Unless you don't care about the data.

flash drive is the easiest way but it may be faster to use bluetooth or a tethered USB cable. Kind of depends on just how many you have to transfer.

I like a flash drive.
