It will put your mail, address book, pictures and documents (mostly) in the right place. Keeping anything important on a computer used every day is really fool hardy. Unless you don't care about the data.

Or is this an Apple? - skipncharExplorerflash drive is the easiest way but it may be faster to use bluetooth or a tethered USB cable. Kind of depends on just how many you have to transfer.
