Transfering movies from Canon FS 20 Camcorder

I purchased my new laptop without a DVD player/recorder. I am unable to load PIXELA (the program that supports file transfer)from the DVD that came with the camera because I do not have a DVD player/r...

The Canon FS 20 specs shows it uses SD memory cards so just use a USB card reader to transfer to the laptop.
